Anatoly Ivanov’s work blends imaginative fantasy with spiritual and humanistic overtones. Many of the art pieces include intricate details that you may discover new things each time you view. Raised in a Moscow orphanage, he went on to study as the prestigious Moscow Academy of Art and worked as an illustrator for the Moscow Children’s Literature Publishing House. His desire to be free of ideological chains led him to immigrate to the United States with his wife and daughter in 1979. He is considered the leading innovator of lush, painstakingly detailed art work that spans the entire emotional gamut. He is also illustrator of Ol’ Jakes Lucky Day and The Pied Piper of Hamlin. He lives with his family in New Jersey.

This book was given to me as a gift from Author Suzie Carr, one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. Although I’ve finished the book it’s permanent place is on the end table, next to my chair, so I can use it as sort of guide in my life. Pick it up when I need to be reminded of the inner peace that lives inside of me.The book is filled with many different perspectives on the subject of peace, some you may agree with, others perhaps not. But I think that there is also a lesson to be learned in reading different points of view on such a vast, and, greatly important subject. There is peace in opening up our hearts, and minds to others thoughts. The way something is seen through the eyes of others could be viewed as an important step toward the peace we all seek. Although we have different perspectives on peace, we all have the same goal, to achieve it. I believe wholeheartedly it’s possible. Whether it be achieved from within, or by everyone on the planet realizing we are all one, although created for our many gifts, and contributions to the world, we are all connected by spirit, and, through that spirit, peace can be achieved throughout the world.
